Katy Coach Works, Inc. is one of the leader Car Repair/Body Paint shops in Houston TX. Our business is growing and we are looking for a Automotive Body Technician / Bodyman to join our team. The perfect candidate would help us maintain the excellent service that we provide in Katy Coach Works, Inc.. Our hours are Monday through Friday 8-5, weekends off!

The responsibilities are:

• Carry out repairs and restore vehicles to safe working conditions.
• Dismantle and reassemble the parts, using cutting tools if necessary.
• Repair dents and scratches using hand tools, grinders and sanders, and repair materials, such as body fillers.
• Prepare the damaged surface for repainting small areas by hand, or larger areas in a spray booth.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble collision damaged vehicles to manufacturers specifications.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned by shop managers.
• Must be able to follow precise instructions.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as auto body technician is essential.
• Experience in all areas of auto body repair.
• Must have detailed knowledge and understanding of vehicle structures.
• Be familiar with the characteristics of the metals, plastics and compounds used in vehicle construction to use the correct repair techniques, tools and materials
• Ability to multitask and tend to several jobs at once.
• Ability to communicate professionally
